Trouble removing the plug for the TPS adjustment

Hey guys, I gotta adjust my TPS on my extra Qjet... the problem is, it had that damn plug in there.

First thing I did was drill a small pilot hole and try and break it loose with a screw. No dice, the screw just stripped the threads. So next I tried a screw extractor... no dice there, I might as well have been using a drill bit. Which is what I did next, drill the plug out. The problem is the damn drill bit is pointy, and hits the adjustment screw and stops. Unfortunately, it left a "ring" of plug material around the screw, enough to prevent me from getting the adjustment tool on. I've tried tweezers, screw drivers, you name it... I can't get enough of the metal removed to turn the screw.

Help???

For lack of a better idea, may as well remove the air horn and try to get the screw out from below, then you can drill the rest of the plug material out.

I have the air horn off. I can't figure out how to turn the screw from under there since it is in a really awkward spot. And that's after getting the "claw" out of the way that the screw actually pushes on.
