Fuel filter location(s)?

I've replaced the fuel filter in the carb 4-5 times the last 11 years. Now the car is running just like the filter is clogged; however, I replaced it and the old one was good. Is there an inline filter somewhere on this stock LG4? I know there is a stainer in the tank, but I'm hopeing the problem may be somewhere else as that looks like a chore and a half.

The 217,000 mile car will run fine for the first 30-60 minutes after sitting for several hours, then it will start gasping for gas and will quit. Let it sit for a few minutes, or top off the tank with gas, and it'll run fine for another 30 minutes.

It could have another filter inline some where but I havent a clue where. How's the cooling system operating? Its kinda sounds like it might be getting hot? Qjets like to act funny when the cars running hot. When was the last time your fuel pump was replaced? Could be a bad $7 fuel pump. Its always a good Idea to put another filter inline before the fuel pump, so if you only do have one filter you might consider putting another one there.
Good Luck!

I would go along with the fuel pump idea, but the inline filter should go after the pump, not before it.

Thanks for the replies.

The cooling is fine (at least according to the guage).

If wondered about the fuel pump. I've changed it twice over the years. The last time was 4 years and 65,000 miles ago. Each time the pump would leak, now it is not leaking, but it could still be bad I guess.
