Edelbrock choke help

Edelbrock choke help

ok i had a shop(BAD SHOP) pull off my quadrajet and put on an edelbrock 600 cfm.instead of properly hooking a choke up they wired it open on the left side.i took the wire off and the choke still sits wide open,i belive there should be a spring or something that brings it closed/partially closed that is'nt there,anyone have any suggestions,pictures ect ?

dear misfit.
i think youre getting it wrong, the choke should be closed with the engine cold and open when hot.
you can adjust this very easy.
