carb upgrade

with the motor in my sig i am running an edelbrock 1407 carb with .113 jets in primary and secondary possitions. this thing flat out runs like a scalded dog. it's awesome. what my question is....is there anything out there that don't cost an arm and a leg that would be a good upgrade? what about the 800EPS carb from edelbrock? i don't want a carb with vac secondaries either.

- Looking at his sig, there's some serious money invested in that powerplant. The difference between a $3xx Holley and a $3xx+ Demon is decimal points as a fraction of everything else that's been spent.

- Local speed & muscle car resto shop here has produced eye-opening results with Holley vs. Demon on BBCs.

- A co-worker/fellow racer took a good second off his ETs this year when switching from Carter to Demon on his Brand X driver/racecar (other changes made as well, like valve job and a very slight increase in valve lift, but the thing ran awesome before).

- I really wish I would have gone that route rather than the Holley last summer, and I don't mind others learning from my mistakes.

That's why...

If it's awesome, why do you want to upgrade?
