Need help with bog
I get terrible bog in my bird if i floor it anyhere under 3,000rpms. Even if i'm in OD, it won't even kickdown. I originally had this problem like three months ago, but a new fuel pump and some carb tunning fixed this. Would more carb tunning help again? I was also thinking about rebuilding the carb and getting new rods and hangers. Will the rebuild or rods and hangers stop the bog? Right now i have to go half throttle until after 3,000rpms or it will bog REAL bad. I'm talking start to slow down sometimes. Thanks for your help.

Quite often the bog is ignition related. Redo all your plug wires, etc., if they are old. Especially the coil, if it is stock. Try the Proform 50000 volt HEI coil. These will make a difference.
If it is the carb, it is usually that there is not enough fuel. Thus richer rods and hangers are the answer. And since you just did the ignition, it is probably the carb.
