I have a 88 Camaro with the following mods. 388ci KB pistons aprox 10.5 comp, Edelbrock victor JR heads mildly ported, Carter 750 with jets that came in it, Comp extreme energy roller cam 236/242 at 50. lift is aprox 553/573 with 1.6 roller rocker 110 lobe sep.. 2800 stall convertor, 410 gears with auburn limited slip.. 4 inch custom built single exaust with custom Y. (looks just like mufflex) My problem is that I am running lean at wide open throttle. My fuel preasure is set at 6psi (mallory return reg) I am still using the factory iroc fuel pump. Do I need to trash the pump and install a external mounted electric pump made for a carb or rejet the carb. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Anyone with any horspower figures after I get it fueled right!?

Get rid of the stock efi pump and either go with an external mount electric like a Holley "blue" or a block mounted mechanical, the efi pump is killing you.

I'd pass on a Holley electric "Blue Pump"
They were never ment for continuious street use.

They are unreliable and will soon let you down
at the more inopertune time.

I'd get a big mechanical pump and big (3/8 or bigger) fuel lines
from tank to carb.

If you want to go electric there are many good electric pumps on the market, but not the holley.
The best way to run an electric pump is to use a return line and
return style regulator. A holley blue regulator plumbed in reverse
on the return side will do.
Reasons are:
Pump runs full out instead of dead heading against the regulator. (cooler operation, lower amerage draw, increased life, more total flow, less chance of flooding.)

The factory fuel systen just doesn't have the fuel flow capacity.

and be sure to throw on a good hi-flow filter. You also better go ahead and check the one that's on your car. It might be clogged. Tjhat could be causing it to not get gas and run lean.
