I have an 82 Z28, Crossfire Injection. Just bought the car. It has been sitting for seven years. I have replaced IAC valves, etc. Covered all the basics. It will start, but not idle. I am seriously considering changing over to a carb system. What kinds of problems can I expect? What about all the computer stuff?

I am not really very good on cars. This is my first project.

 

It'll need a new intake manifold and carburetor, as well as a vacuum advance distributor and if you have an automatic transmission you're going to lose the function of the torque converter lock-up, but they sell kits in JEG'S that will let you still use the lock-up without a computer hooked up to the tranny.
