What q-jet rods/hangars for a 454?

Okay, this isnt third gen, but involves my fathers 67 maro with a 454. The motor has a weiand high rise dual plane amnifold with a q-jet sitting on top, mild cam (218 duration at .050"). What rods and hangars would you recommend for this car? He currently has G hangar and DP rods. He says the rods look thicker at the tip than my CK's I puled out of my LG4 carb. TOo bad, he coulda ended up with DR's if he was the first to crack open his junk q-jet. I was going to order my B hangar for my 350, would the 454 be best with B hangar and DR rods?

When tuning a motor you always want to start out a little on the rich side and work leaner. (Rich is safe)

On a 454 I'd try a set of CE rods and a K hanger and work from there. On a 454 your going to need lots of fuel flow. I get the large .149" needle and seat.
