carb woes.

recently acquired an '84 e4me quadrajet. I try to put it on my 86 z28, but now i have an extra hose stickin out of no where. I double check both carbs and everything is the same except the 84 carb has no fitting for the hose. can i just plug that hose up? Thanks.

A long time ago, someone posted the vacuum diagrams for a few years-worth of vehicles. IIRC, the '86 had one more vacuum line than an '84 would, but I don't remember what it was.

You should have a diagram under the hood of your car. Take a look at it, and try to determine what the hose you don't have a port for goes to. You may be able to tee it into another line with like vacuum (ported, unported, etc.), and it may be something that you don't want to just plug.

If it was the carb that had more ports than things to attach to them, then I'd say just plug it. But, not necessarily in your situation.
