I am currently looking for a winter car and came across a 83 caprice for cheap. One problem, the exhaust lobe on one of the cylinders is worn, so it needs a cam. My question is what is a good STOCK replacement cam for this engine? I don't want a wild cam, just an inexpensive one that will run well. I'm assuming it's the same 305 4 bbl used in the 83 Camaros. Thanks for any help!!!

How long does it take to do a cam swap, I know what I need to remove and all, can I do it in a day?

Summit cam kit K1101 it'll work just fine and dandy in it. 79.95
you'll need about a 12-15 dollar gasket set for it. and a weekend.
