hard to start..
hey guys i can;t seem to get my car to start good. in the morning after its real cold and sittin it will crank rigth on but after i drive it and shut it off or just start it up any time during the day it will crank forever be4 it starts and even when its really hot out i will have to gass it for liek 1-2 mins be4 it will idle and not stall. now my carb is adjusted the best i could get it, so i figure it has to be my timing. i had it at 11 and i put it to 8 and it didn't really help. so wut do i do

Not related to your timing.I had the same problem with my old motor when I had an Edelbrock 600 on it,but I never did figure it out.Built the new motor and went with a Demon.I always assumed it was a fuel/heat problem which the Edelbrock looks to be a victim of that on a hot intake. That carb bakes on a hot intake hence the harder starting when it is hot.If I drove around for an hour or more, let the car sit for a little while and then drove it again before it fully cooled down..I would get the worst vapor lock bog until the carb emptied the bowls and got fresh cool fuel into them and then no problem. My Demon hasn't done that to me yet after three years of use.
