what is the fuel miture control solinod??

i ran the codes on my car and the only one i get is the fuel mixture control solinod what is this? i think it may be why i cant floor my car with out it bogging so badly????

The mixture control solenoid is inside the carb, next to the float. It's connector is on the passenger side of the carb. It control primary fuel metering. The bog could be realated to this, but more likely it is the secondary side of the carb. Check the Tech Articles for the details on addressing this.

Is the CHECK ENGINE light currently on? Or did you just check the codes to see what was stored? If the light is not on that could be an old code. With the ignition on, the solenoid should click rapidly for 30 seconds or so. If you hear it, the solenoid is operating properly.
