hard to start when hot, floats??

hard to start when hot, floats??
ok guys when my cars cold it cranks right over but when its ran and it up to temp and i let it sit for liek 10 mins it taks forever to start and i have to give it alot of gas to start it. nowi have played with my timming and that didn;t help, i have adjusted my carb a bunch and nuthin, so could it be my floats? its an edelbrock 750 so how do i cjeck them? thanks guys cause its pissin me off

When you say, "...give it alot of gas to start it", do you mean you pump it, or hold the pedal part way down while you're cranking it?

ok well i figured out my prob. my dad kept saying if u have to hold the pedel to the floor to get it to start then its flooded buti refused to think that it could flood sitting there. well anyways i discoverd that fuel expands when its hot and my fuel line was on the manifold and it was heatin up and the fuel was expanding and pushing its self in the carb and flooding it. well i re-routed my fuel line so it doens't touch one thing so i will see how it goes tomorrow. thanks guys
