My mixture control solenoid is bad now what?
hey guys well a guy told me to turn the cars ignition on but not start it and if i here a clicking sound then it's working well i did it and no clicking so i i ran the codes and that was the only code the car gave me. wel my car can not be floored or it will boog and back fire like a mad man and i was told this is why also they told me my carb was so ****ed up i needed a new one which i belive but how much is this mixture control solenoid maybe i could try just replacing it and see if it helps out. anyone know where i can get one or how much it will cost?

I don't have any idea where to get a new one; I've never, ever, seen one go bad. If I wanted one I believe I'd just go the boneyard and get a carb and use that one.
More likely it's unplugged, or the ECM is bad, or the wiring has been sodomized.
You can easily check it by first looking at the pink w/black stripe wire that goes to it, and make sure there's 12V there with the key on. Then find the bright green diagnostic connector, and ground it (no, it won't hurt anything); the solenoid should click. Unground it, it should un-click.
If there's not 12V going to that wire, check every other pnik w/black stripe wire under the hood, and see if any of them have 12V. You can find them at the AIR valve, the MAP sensor, the baro sensor, the TPS, and a few other places. They all get their power from the same feed.
That won't cause the "flooring" problem anyway; that is almost always the secondaries, not the primaries. Sounds like your air valve has too little tension.
