holley carb

i got a holley 600cfm carb for my trans am and the choke fuses kept blowing. i couldn't figure out why it kept blowing the fuses so i took the choke right off but now i need the choke cause i am getting sick of my car loading up andi don't know what is up with this carb it's brand new. what should i look at?

when i first put a new motor in my car i wired the electric choke to the same wire that operated the stock one and didn't have any problems until the choke screwed up all together and i took it off. i had no trouble running no choke except you gotta keep on the gas on a cold start-up for a few seconds to keep it running.

i wouldnt recommend puttin your foot on th gas on a cold start. to much of a possibility of bending a pushrod.trust me been there done that
