Used Edelbrock?

Used Edelbrock?
I've got a used 650 cfm edelbrock I want to put on my motor, its a stock 305 with a q-jet. Only problem with it is I got it off a 2nd gen that hadn't moved or run in over 8 months, nothing done to store it... What do you guys/girls think I should do?

Bolt it on and try it as is.. Be sure to use a good inline fuel filter.
