ooook, after i finally got a good carb on my car (long story...) i still have problems. first at low rpm's my car does this wierd thing where it shoots forward then slows down without my foot on the gas. its not changing the speed or anything, its one of those things that you can feel happening. then when i turn my car off it disels really badly, we've modified the timing but i cant think of what else to do, the only way i can shut it off is by leaving it in gear then turning it off. then just a wile ago i realized that if you put it in gear before kicking it down it vibrates really!! bad. anyway what can i do to fix some of this stuff? thanks alot

 

Need more info. I suspect this is a very non- carb related
problem. Probabily an ignition timing problem.
Tell us more about your engine/car. Ignition system, fuel system
mods etc. Are you using a computer controlled distributor with a
non-cc carb?

If the car deisels when you shut off the ignition, it is getting too hot or the ignition timing is retarded or too advanced.
Or this is non vacuum advance distributor from a computer controlled car.
Or you have a high compression ratio engine and are using low octane gas.
