Should we got up to a 770 carb???
Should we got up to a 770 carb???
whats up guys?
the camaro, with the mods below, is gonna be getting some goodies soon.
the goodies include: AFR 190 heads, 1.5 rockers, AFR intake or RPM intake, and a Comp Cams XE274 cam (hydr. cam).
anyway, right now, it has a 670 and runs good, but will it require a 770 SA carb when the heads/intake goes on? it wil have a FPR and it will be dyno tuned when its all done. but will the bigger cam help make more power?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression all SA's are VS. Or, is that what you meant - mechanical secondaries making that much of a difference over vacuum? Jester was kind enough in the last year to educate me (and others) to the benefits of mechanical secondaries over vacuum for power curve and consistency.
I was thinking more along the line of 650 or 700 DP (could probably get away with 750, though). With DP, you error on the small side, unlike VS (where you can get away with an oversized carb).
3000 stall sounds about right.
