which vacuum port is the "ported" one for the distributor?
I just rebuilt my M4MC and had always pluged the vacuum advance into one of the two ports on the front of the carb but I am not sure this is the right one. the two ports are identical in diameter but one is off the throttle body plate pointing foreward and the other is off the air horn and is pointing to the radiator cap.
I assumed that the one off the throttle body plate was the ported one for the dissy and the other one was for the EGR or something.
since I have no egr anymore I am not sure now...
and the underhood sticker is long gone

The correct one is on teh front of the fuel bowl, just to the driver's side of the fuel inlet, right around the corner from the idle screw. Both of the ones you mention are constant non-ported vacuum.
