Fuel lines
Fuel lines
This may sound stupid but i have to ask.
I am converting from TPI to carb and on the TPI setup there is 2 fuel lines running to the injection, but with the carb there should only be 1 right? Do i just block one of the lines off.
Also on the drivers side firewall i think it is the ESC and some sort of relay next to it will i need them for the carb install or can i take them out.
I have searched but could not find the exact answer.
Thanks
Jeff.

One line should be the fuel feed the other is a return line which even with a carb you should still need as the pump on my 85 lg4 has a fitting that connects to the return line

If you are going to use the intank pump on your original TPI car you need to use the feed and return line. A common way of doing it is using a Mallory 3 port regulator, Summit # MAA-4309. This will cut down the pressure for your carb setup and send the excess fuel back to the tank through the return line. If you do a search for the Mallory 3 port regulator its should yield some posts with pictures.
