My friend has an 84 camaro 350 (yes i know its not origional) its a 700r4 car. red. hardtop. carbed, smogged, needs a new carb hehe. anyways he wants to sell me it for 200 bucks. He has a del sol and a civic hatchback, loves his hondas, doesnt dig v8's. think its worth it haha.

 

A running 350 core is worth $200. If nothing else you can part it out and make some cash. If it's in servicable shape you scored a cheap project.
