was fine, now carb backfire
i know this has been asked a lot and i searched on it and found that it could mean your running lean and stuff but i just want to make sure. I have a carter competition 750 carb and the engine was swapped into my car and just got running. I had a mechanic time it, and adjust everything. It was running great until i stepped on it then let off and it stalled. Couldn't start it back up and it was shooting gas out of the carb and flames. Could barely keep it idle at 500 and if i gave it gas it would stall. Now a lot of people told me is was running rich by the smell and the carb is a little black and so are my exhaust tips. Why all of a sudden it does this when i step on it? Too much gas??
