Fixed the Q-jet bog! and it wasent somthing one would expect.

Well I played with the Q-jet some more, changing rods/hangers being totally stumped because this wasent the typical bog people complain about. This would rip *** in the primaries and the 1st few seconds in the secondary then fall apart. On my last effort of the day I figured it wasent getting enough air since I went through every rod combo possible and every tesnion setting allowable. I put on secondary flaps from a marine carb that were notched and went out and drove it, it was worse. Then it clicked, all the rods and hangers that I changed never once did I see the cam that controlls the metering rods. Sure enough It was missing, not something usually taken off but the sucker was gone. Went back grabed a lid from another Q-jet slaped the cam in reset tension to hair trigger and it works perfect!!!!! No bog no surge just go!

Lesson to be learned here, theres always a reason somthing isnt working just gotta look.

Those cams actually get brittle and break. I'm sure it wasn't actually removed from your carb.
