Need tips on removing carb!

Parting out my 83 Z which has an Edel 550 carb. Never removed one before. Is there anything I should know about before I dig into the little project? Also removing the Edel Performer intake. Any precautions other than draining antifreeze, I should take?

Thanks,
Brandon

Make sure everything is disconnected before you try to pry it loose with a screwdriver.

dont mess the float adjustement

also dont turn it upside down... it has to do with the float inside...
You may also want to keep some of your vacuum tube & plastic joint, very usefull to have spares.
