K&N Filter
I have an 83 TA, LG4 with and non cc q-jet and single snorkle.
It has the functional hood scoop so there's a plenum sort of thing right above the air cleaner assembly which brings in cold air.
I can get a 14 x 3 drop base K&N set up for cheap. It looks like it woulld drop the base about 1.5 inches depending on where you measure it and it would allow about 2.5 inches of space above the carb.
The PN No. is 60-1280. Does anyone know if that will fit on my car or would I have to remove the plenum for the hood scoop and so on.
I'd like to keep the plenum part in there though because if I got an extreme flow lid the scoop would feed cold air in from the top or I could just cut a hole in the top of the K&N lid so it matches up to the intake.
