adding sediment filter to fuel line???
HELLO ALL:
Have got a new carb to put on my 1983 Z28, 305HO CCqjet.
My car has been sitting for awhile and a friend who works on tractors suggested putting a sediment filter inline in addition to the existing filter.
Will this work???? or is this overkill and a waste of time????
I've got a bad habit of overkill, but when I fix something, I like to do it right and resolve any engineering probs that exist.
thanks,
PAT

Its always a good idea to have extra filtration, the one filter on our cars isnt enough. Id just use a standard $3 cheapo filter either by the tank or right before the fuel pump. Sediment filters can get full and start to suck the crud out of the bowl that it just filtered. There nice if you see them all the time like when you turn the fuel feed on for a tractor its right there but in a car stay simple.
