carb'd problem???

I just installed a set of Pro Actions. The car now won't idle under 1500 and the amount of fuel smell burns the eyes to the point where we have to turn the car off. It idles at 1500 but as soon as you touch the gas it just dies. Do you think that I could be running so rich that it floods the engine under 1500 and when i touch the gas it stalls because of flooding?

I'm all out of idea's here...

Dave

Do you have the stock carb or aftermarket? Is the choke opening?

It's a Holley 750Vac Sec. Mech. choke is tied open at all times.
Also, to adjust the idle mixture screws, which way do I turn them to lean it out?
