Whats your intended purpose with the car? Do you care about losing some milage for performance? I'd go with a 750 mechanical secondary if you're aiming for performance.

a 750 double pumper would be perfect, but the proper sized carb does NOT cost mileage. Poor right foot control costs mileage. Smaller carbs are just more forgiving of poor control, as are VS carbs.

what about a 750 v.s., for now it is my daily driver, but dont go very far with it, just around the area cruising and the dragstrip on weekends.

Jester is completely right . Its really up to you. I say if you want max performance get the DP. With the proper tuning and driving the DP will get the same milage as the VS but as Jester said the vacuum secondaries are "more forgiving" ...and quite a bit cheaper
