demon question

yea, if i looked through everything, it'd probably have an answer, but i noticed that on my carb's baseplate, the timed vaccuum port deal thats milled into the baseplate has a twisty peice of metal about 1/4" long, with what seems like a small ball on the end of it that is right over the top of the hole that goes up into the baseplate...i hope thats a good description, is that twisty sliver of metal supposed to be there?

ok, well the thing in my timed vaccuum port was a machining defect, and it's been corrected.

the air cleaner needed to be a flat base instead of the drop base i got away with on the edelbrock carb i had before

now the only problem i have is that i've never tuned a carb with a four corner idle, and for some reason, the carb makes a VERY high pitch loud whistling noise until the rpms are over about 3500-4000

i just bought a demon card a few months ago.....more than enough trouble with it already.in your manaul it tells you how to ajust it.just the other day i was having trouble with the secondarys so i took it apart,a pile of aluminm was in the bowl and i took one jet out and a large amount of aluminm fileings came out of it....should have that kind of crap with the price you half to pay!works awsome when its in good tune

I haven't had one problem with mine. Been easy to tune, no defects and it doesn't whistle.
