I thought you wanted to replace your stock pump with a pickup in the tank. I'm going carb soon on my 88 IROC and that was the parts I was looking for. Am I wrong?

i was thinking maybe i could drill a hole in the lower rear end of the tank and just puttin a -10 fittin in it with a nut inside the tank. cause i can reach my hand down there, but i dont know how good that would work.

I would just go through the top of the tank, or use the stock fuel line that comes out of the tank. I'm not positive but i think you would be ok with that as long as you mounted the fuel pump below the bottom of the fuel tank.

i thought you had to have the fuel pump at the same height or lower than the line coming out of the pump. thats what i had heard before but im not positive. i think the inline pumps have to have gravity to help the fuel get to the pump. but like i said, im not positive. thats why im trying to see how everybody else is doing it.
