quick LG4 question please help

hi ive recently purchased a 1983 Trans Am with a stock LG4 in it.all original and it has 105,000 on it.my question is the carb seems to be wore out.i have a holley 650 vacuum secondary carb and a edlebrock dual plane intake.is this too much for a stock LG4 to handle???

A 650 will be fine and will leave room for some mods in the future. I'm putting a 650vs on my LG4 when I do the cam swap next week. We'll see how it works out.

You'll be fine, some tuning will most likely be needed, but I'd start shopping for some headers and exhaust. All of that would really wake up that LG4.

It's not just a simple bolt-on to change the carb from the stock set up. There is plenty of info on this board about this exact same topic, do a search.
