electric fuel pump question

I removed the computer some time ago on my 1987 carbed 305. I think my car was equipped with the electric fuel pump as well as a mechanical pump. I have a really bad fuel starvation problem at wide open throttle. I mean it just about or sometimes dies. NOW is there a way I can hookup the electric fuel pump to run without the harness and if anyone has done this before have a schematic or way of wiring the relay to use the intake pump without dropping the tank.

Thanks

I remember hearing somthing about later model carbed TG's having both pumps so I wouldent doubt it.

Most likely the wiring is still intact or should be for the most part. Look at the fuse box and see if there's any fittings in the fuel pump fuse that will tell us. Other then that its just a relay that goes to IGN power back to the pump. Id ask over at wiring board for what type of relay you need.
