I have a 84 z28.. 350 with an Edelbrock 600cfm electric choke carb. The car runs great and performance wise there seems to be now problem with it.. however since I brought the car here to Virginia (it was in Nebraska) it's had a ticking noise and I'm sure it's just pinging because it's running lean.. During half to full throttle there is no noise, however if I'm just crusing down the road and let off or coast, it becomes very loud. I know this because I was driving along side it. ANYWAY, that's the situation and my main question is what are you guys from Virginia running for jets, rods, springs... what setup is working for you.. I'd like to keep some fuel economy because it is my primary vehicle, but mainly just don't want the ticking... I'm located near Wash DC if that helps... Thanks for any help

 

Look for an exhaust leak.
