Car: 86 Z-28
Engine: 356 4-bolt
Transmission: Borg warner T-5
need to lean it out
i have an 86 z-28. i just put a new engine in with headers and the headers didnt come ready for an oxygen sensor. now the car is running really rich. is there a way to manually lean out the carb, or can only the computer lean it out? this would be a temporary fix till i had the headers adapted for oxygen sensors. thanks in advance

You need to let the computer do its job, which it can't do without the proper information.
Get the O2 sensor installed ASAP.
