fuel pressure to run w/ speed demon 750 dp
fuel pressure to run w/ speed demon 750 dp
Well, I have been been buying some goodies the last couple of days. I am getting the carb mentioned above, and also ordered a carter fuel pump. I was thinking that the pump was 7psi, but after I ordered I realized it was 8. Will this be to high? If so I have a regulator, but will it hurt a mechanical pump to regulate it down? The only carb I really have experience w/ is my cc quadrajet so I dont really know. I put a t56 in and so I really wanted a dp carb. What should I do w/ the fp. Do I need to order a different pump or can I make this work? I have run a best of 9.410 in the 1/8 mile, but it feels like I am running out of fuel up high w/ my current pump(still using quad by the way). I also have a set of sportsman II's that I have started porting and will finnish soon if I could get enough free time.
Thanks
Ben

stock replacement fuel pump for this engine. I'm gonna get one of those Carter pumps and a Mallory 3 port, that'll all be used when I switch to a 350. You might want to check your fuel filter and float level if it feels like you're running out of fuel.
