I'm new and stupid. What do I have?
And here's how much a complete dual snorkel setup is going for these days: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43946
I'm almost considering it myself right now. They're tough to find in good shape with all the parts.

I need to sell mine NOW!!!
I finally got the L69 A/C cleaned up and installed tonight. Looks badass! Upon closer inspection, I had one of those flame-arresting silver ring thingys also. It was quickly sent to the trash, though it took quite a bit of prying to break it free.

The ebay seller was either misinformed or a liar. L69 wasn't offered in '87 Camaros.
It's not a "flame-arresting thingy". It's a charcoal bed for absorbing vapors during inoperation.

Chill!
I was just quoting what someone else on here called it, OK I paraphrased actually. I don't care what its called. Looked damn restrictive to me so out it went.
Hey, did anyone else notice that the Ebay A/C said 5.7 Liter HO on it?

As for the cost, it's worth it to me (I won it). It's pretty hard to find all the original parts on a dual snorkel intake. And with some tender loving (and new, PROPER sticker), I can see this setup going for upwards of $300 easily in 4 or 5 years. He gave me free shipping which was pretty cool of him, anyway.
