Some people never learn

Some people are so stupid. I am pulling out of school yesterday, it is a little slick because it had snowed, but most of it was slush that night and had been cleared off the road of course. So I have to take it easy out of the parking lot because it is a 45 degree incline(or more.) I should have had new tires but did not get my paycheck(damn my work .) So on Tuesday night under the idea I would be getting new tires, I did burnouts up and down the area making my tires even worse. Well anywho, going up the incline I am making a right hand turn, I start to go and I am goosing it out of the lot, trying not to spin too bad. Anyways, some retard in a red Eclipse(1st Gen) with off-center white racing stripe, some cheap rims, aluminum wiper clip ons, white banner in the windshield, might have neons, and a fart can. He pulls up on my *** and starts honking, I am just a little annoyed because I did rather bad on my Pre-Calc quiz. After I got onto the street he tried to turn onto my ***, but I gunned it a little so he did not rearend me. So I have to turn left, traffic lets up a little and I squeeze through. The Elcipse rides my *** through the turn so he does not have to wait. The street is a 35, and traffic was not backed up so I was doing 40 or so, the Eclipse must have thought that was not fast enough, so he tried to pass me on a double yellow. I was wondering how stupid someone could be, and I go to about 1/2 throttle, and hit 65 and he is back aways, gets back behind me, and I think that is it. No, he tries to pass me again when I coast back to 40, on double yellow again. I go 3/4 throttle to show him I still have more to give. At about 75 he is still trying, but I notice traffic up ahead, and so does he so he starts breaking and gets behind me. I remind the roads still have a little slush, possibly black ice on them. With this in mind, I start to brake a little earlier than usual. The Eclipse at was more than 80 ft behind me when I started breaking, and he started to break when he was a car or so behind me. He brakes too hard and locked his brakes, and did a doughnut into a stone mailbox. I had been glancing in my mirror and watched it the whole time. Wow, some people just are too stupid.

Yea that's cool, it's neat to try to block someone who's trying to pass. You know what you should have done? Let him pass if he was in such a hurry instead of endangering your and his life. Bet you would have had a real gigglefest if he went headon into oncoming traffic. Regardless of how stupid it is to pass on a double yellow it's also pretty stupid to try to "block" someone who's trying to pass, especially since you said you were going 75 in a 35. I'd suggest taking it easy, especially in the slush/ice, next time it could be you in that mailbox, be careful.

I agree with Inwo. If someone wants to pass then let them. It is driving after all .. not racing .. who cares what they drive. It could be some 'racer boy' in an import or it could be a 'soccer mom' in a suv, there are alot of stupid people out there who are deluded into thinking their car can overcome any bad road condition and they go the normal speed or even faster. Just let them go because trying to block them from passing will only cause an accident.

The trend I notice here in Hawaii is that people with minivans think they are invincible. I dont know why. Maybe its the commercials that delude them into thinking wet roads dont affect minivans. I've seen minivans on the freeway going over 100 alot of times and even in the rain they go 20 to 30 over the limit. I've also seen some of them take turns around 70 or 80 in the rain and I just shake my head. When I look at the driver its usually some old person or someones parents and they just look normal (like driving a minivan at 100 in the rain is normal geesh). Just let them pass because they are stupid or crazy.

I think that no talent a*sclown punk got what he deserved. Its stupid to try and pass on a double yellow.40 in a 35 is good enough in winter conditions.and he was an *** in the beginning anyways. Its stupid to tailgate in the winter, because you never know when you can hit black ice and mess your car up,along with someones elses.serves that ******* right.

Okay, I am not trying to start a fight, but even though he acted Really stupid, what you did was almost as stupid! If it really was icy and slushy and you were driving a Camaro with bald tires, what were you doing fooling around at 75mph in a 35 zone? Boy, now i know why my insurance rates are so high!

I know that it was not the smartest thing to do. I will admit that. The roads were not really slushy, it was just that on the edges there was like a snow/slush/salt mixture that was not plowed. The road was wet with some actual dry areas. And this was over about a 6+mile road, there was no traffic before me and after me except when I started braking.

I've done similar stupid things, so dont feel as bad, I had some guy who tried passing me on the shoulder and i was in such a bad mood that i gunned it and then move slightly over so he would either hit the curve or have to slam on his breaks, people suck at life sometimes

I"ll tell you what man, if a person passes on double yellows it's for a reason. I would have let them pass. I've done that a couple of times because I was in an emergency. Yes! I pass double yellow if I need to.. if it's a real emergency then there are risk I"m willing to take.

who knows man, maybe the guy really needed to use the bathroom? or someone he loved was in danger? who knows?

Well he was tailgating me out of the parking lot, he rode my freaking *** out on a turn that he shoud have waited for. This is not the first time that he has passed me on a double yellow. He is simply a stupid driver.

if i was a cop, and i saw the two cars doing that, i would go after the one driving on the wrong side of the road , not the one driving fast. thats my personal opinion . next time though, i would let him pass, but since it worked out this time, good job becuz this guy will have hopefully learn his lesson.

Next time don't fukc around! True, he did get what he deserved, only b/c you guys were going at it. Not worth it at all, obviously. Could have been your car. If you guys want to prove something, do it at a track or when it is nicer out. I've seen some stupid crap go down for no reason and this just looks like another example. You are lucky, but then again, i was not there so i can only gather my info from what was said here. later

I had a guy try to pass me on the double yellow one time. I was driving my mom's old Hyundai Excel, and my friend and I were on our way to the library to study for a school project. Since we got on the main road from her house, this Buick was riding my *** the whole way. It was dark, and raining. The moron tries to pass me on a two lane road that has a 90 degree right turn up ahead. I was doing about 40, so he was probably doing about 65 or so, as he flew past me. He gets far enough in front to move back over, but can't stop in time. BAM! Slides right into the ditch. Well, the ditch was not that deep, so he was able to back out and get back on the road, and he stayed about 3 lengths behind me all the way to the point where he turned off. Just goes to show you that all it takes is stupidity to wreck a car.

Since we're talking about brainless morons passing when they shouldn't...

I was on a highway once, going about 60-65. It's a two lane highway. Within a mile there is a straightaway featuring my good friend and yours, Mr. Passing Zone.
This dumbass young woman, playing rap and talking on the cell phone...one of the dumb as a sack of hammers morons who thinks their from the ghetto when they were born in Shelbyville......anyway, this individual decides to pass me...going up a hill...around a curve- a somewhat sharp one...double lines...in her late 90s Sentra...playing loud music...on the cell phone...eating and drinking.(I thought it was
maybe a soft drink but apparantly it was something 50 proof.)

I have to admit...people around here will keep you guessing. Do not put anything passed them. Don't be in another state and think, "Not even a Bedford County native would do that." 'Cause they will prove you wrong.
