Jet recomendations?/? ,,holley guys inside.

sup guys,ive got an 84 L69 5spd transam ,its pretty much bonestock,except for emissions delete,and a weiand dual plane intake,it had a holley 600 vacsec on it,i just swapped my 650 holley DP on,4150 # 4777 on.

current jetting is 57 fronts,74s rear, this is how it was when i got it,it runs great, around town is perfect, still getting about 23 mpg like i was, however on the WOT runs,it bogs when the secondaries open. if you ease into the 2ndarys,its fine, just takes off and goes,it you mash it WOT it kinda bogs for a split second, then you get the intake howl.

what are you guys running as far as holley setups on your 305s? any and all help is apreciated it.

i don't know much about carbs, or holleys for the most part but it sounds like your secondaries are opening too fast.

I would leave the jetting alone for now and go up 2-3 sizes on your rear shooter to get you over the "hump" until the secondary main system takes over.

first of all you have dp on your car so you should not make such a big jump on your jets it should be no bigger then two sizes's from fronts to back. you should have 67's in the front and 69's in the back. i think that should fix your problem.

second you should make sure that your rear ap is ajusted properly.

Not sure if Demon and Holley do things different but from the factory, my Demon had a spred of 7 jet sizes. #76 and #83 Also have read on here that the spred can be around 6 to 8 jet sizes

not sure about a demon carb but on a holley you shouln't have such a spread. you car install it into your car and it will still run but it should run better when they are atleast a 2 jets spread.
