for those of you with relatively strict emissions laws in your states. are you passing the sniffer without your emission stuff in the car? if you are, how are you doing it?

you should do a search here and your question will be answered all your lil heart could desire, the search function is powerful

as for me, i had way to big of a cam and came within .0xx (i forget, was 2 years ago n lost paperwork) within passing the hydrocarbons here, everything else passed... Ohio probably isn't as strict as other(s) i'm sure

what I did to my holley was i swapped the shooter size down like a 56 to a 52 i believe (the smaller jets are still in the garage for next emission) and i retarded the timing when i got there and took off my air cleaner...

maybe get a higher temp thermostat so the engine can be hot to burn the extra carbons... tweaked my holley a bit also.. low octane gas maybe with a additive (alcohol) couldnt hurt...

i know five7 did a fresh tune up, plugs, cap, wires and rotor before he went and if i recall he said he passed with flying colors.

with my new smaller cam, i will share the same faith

do a search for more

Invalid premise.

Without the "emissions stuff" in the car, I'd never get to the dyno/sniffer.
