mpfi v6 to carbed v6
Hello i hope someone can help me, after doing a head gasket on my firebird im having troble with the fuel system now. The pump doesnt turn on at all and the wires that go to the oil pressure switch are not their. Also i think the fuel reg is bad,i know this is gonna be over $200 to get fixed.only thing is i can get a Running carbbed rs for $200(has dents all over from a paint ball gun) SO how hard would it be to switch my car to carb? I know the obvious intake and plenum would be taken off my car but what about the fuel pumps? Since mine might be shot. what would the switch over involve?
Fuel pump is going to require you dropping the exhaust, rear end , and tank. Then you just unscrew and swap sending/pump units. You are also going to have to switch the TV and accelorator cables.
Its alot of work. I would get the 200 dollar car for parts.
