bad control module

My mechanic told me that my control module needs to be replaced and I was wondering if there MSD sells something for this. Can I get a 6AL box and blaster 2 coil to fix this?

it would be a ton easier just to buy a ignition module from like summit they are performance peices and not very expensive. but if you want to upgrade and lay down that kind of cash go ahead.

What would I need to purchase through summit? Would buying the 6AL and blaster coil hurt?

alright the petronix flame thrower ignition module, summit part number PNX- D2000 it is 39.88 but what i would recommend is the holley ignition module it is a direct factory replacement summit part number HLY-891-104. the 6AL ignition box, summit part number MSD-6420 $195.95, blaster 2 coil, summit part number MSD-8202 it's $28.95. see how much cheaper its is just to buy the ignition module but if your looking for more spark power with a rev limiter go ahead but if you just want more spark power then get a better cap with the coil like the HEI up grade summit part number SUM-850013 but it's your car what ever you want. hope this helps.
