Not exactly sure if this swap belongs in the engine swap board or here with you guys but here's my question..

I am running a 305 TBI right now, but I plan on swapping to a 350 Carbed ZZ4 motor this summer. I have a crimestopper car alarm and remote start waiting in my room that I got for christmas this year.

What I want to know is whether or not I should wait before getting this alarm and remote start installed. To be honest, I don't even know if it is possible to remote start a carbed car. I would assume that it wouldn't be any different, but I still don't know for sure.

If it can be done.. am I better off waiting until the swap is complete to have the alarm installed or should I do it before hand.

Carbed cars can be remote started. Id wait to install the kit untill after i got the swap running good. Itll just make things a little easier if you have any problems.

 

I agree carbed cars can be remote started but most remote starters where designed for injection.
