Stock Elect Fuel pump

hey guys new to the board but my question is can i use my stock fuel pump from my 89 formula 305 tbi, i belive it pumps 14 psi and ill regulate it to 7 for the carb. with that said is it possible to use it, will i have to put a switch on it to turn it on and off?

Yes you can use your stock pump (in tank for the TBI). I am doing it now, and I am running 520 HP at the fly in my 388 stroker, with a modified 750 Holley race carb. The only way/reasson you will have to add another in-line fuel pump is if you add a N20 system or a supercharger, some type of power adder. The stock pump will not provide enough fuel pressure with a n20 system being used at the same time, you will need another elct fuel pump to help if you go that route.

Use a regulator that includes a return port. If you don't, dead-heading the in-tank pump will burn it out.
