Hey guys My friend and I are building up another 383 and Its gonna have a descent size cam 224-230 duration and around 500 lift, and i was just curious I want to Run an Edelbrock Carb cause I heard there much easier to tune, but I dont know if 750 cfm will be too much, and I think 600 cfm is too little. I really dont want it running real rich or lean. Edelbrock only offers a 600 and a 750? so the question is which one? or should i even get an Edelbrock? let me know guys thanks,

Forget the Edelbrock carb, they suck! You want to stick with Holley or Demon. They offer a carb that would better suite your needs (i.e. 650 cfm, 700 cfm and more). You should get the Holley "Street Avenger" (around $400) in a 650 cfm or 700 cfm series, that is IMO the only way to go.

Hope that helps some!

i like my holley 3310 750VS carb. I think it was $249 new, then add the rear metering block, and quick change vacuum secondary kit and it's pretty tunable. Total in it is around $320 now I think. Don't forget to buy a jet kit as well.

Get the 750 cfm Edelbrock. Its a good carb and not too big. It will be near perfect for your
purpose, right out of the box. Fuel pressure should be 6-7psi. My 750 Edelbrock works just as good as my 750VS holley. My holley is a good one too.
Read the owners manual/tuning guide. You can fine tune the accelerator pump, power step up springs and primary rod/jet calibration to a fine edge.

Edelbrock tuning

The only extra thing I had to buy for mine was a banjo fuel fitting to allow my air cleaner base to fit.

Good carb.
