I'll be running a 650 Speed Demon carb, and by looking closely at it, I'm wondering if the stock throttle cable and cruise control cable will hook up to it, or will an adapter be needed? It had a Q-jet on it before....

I'm not running a cruise control or the stock bracket anymore. Also made the post which the throttle connects to. I'm sure you can buy them.

Thanks evil, that's looks like the bracket I'll need for the throttle. I'll just need to figure out what to do about the cruise cable. Yes I intend to keep it. Maybe the AC too!

I think that one is a bracket from Holley. Yup, just looked in my summit order history hehe here's the part number. HLY-20-88 Not sure what you can do about the cruise bracket :/ They might have some out there.

I am in the process of making a throttle bracket for my Demon.I have a 4 speed so no kick down or cruise..which helps in the design of it.Looks similar to the aftermarket Holley ones out that goes up around the acc pump arm..but cheaper.Got a huge 5'x5' sheet of 1/8" aluminum for free and made it myself.I love cheap.Just have to make the final bracket for the return springs and it's done..will post pics when finished.

i know checker has one, its got all the otherwise useless "universal" parts that universally fit nothing.Originally posted by spartyon

but yes the throttle cable bracket down that isle works pretty well for me, i don't know about the kickdown cable (manual here) but it does work pretty well, brand called 'spectre' like $7.95
Thanks for the info on the throttle cable bracket everyone....
I also have a 5 speed, and I still need to figure out how I'm going to hook up BOTH the throttle cable AND the cruise control cable.
I'm sure I can "rig" something up, but if there's an aftermarket bracket that supports both these cables, I'd much rather go that route. Plus it'll most likely look better than anything I could make... I just don't want to have to delete my cruise control because I'm running a different carb.
I'm one of those old guys that have outgrown the phase of removing my AC, cruise and everything else in the name of performance. I think with the right adapters etc.. I can have both.

I removed both my A/C and cruise simply cause they both didn't work right
Did have the A/C working one year, didn't blow cold at all so didn't see the point in getting it fixed the following year. Just a couple of o-rings and it would have taken care of the leak it had.

I've done the same thing in the past. But it really doesn't eat up that much HP, and as I get older, I like creature comforts....

anyone have a picture of the carb bracket with a tv cable? i still want to stay auto with my double pumper carb. yes i know it can effect the tranny...i was going to convert my throttle line and kick down cable to the lokar stuff since i used lokar on the dip sticks.
Finally finished up my home made Demon throttle bracket..what do you guys think?Aluminum was free from my neighbor, dremel I owned already, time was free..paint cost $3.98.I like cheap. The holes in it are not drilled in a straight line if anyone notices..I was too impatient to use a drill press for consistant holes so I just went at it..think of it as my prototype..will make a final bracket this summer when I get some more time..for now I am happy with it.Opinions??
ok i'll try it again..

Looks really nice! Kind of like the Jegs Brackets they sell. But I think your's looks far better and cheaper to make (there's like 75 or 80 bucks).

Would have to measure to be sure..my guess is around 1/8" thick..no less.It is real sturdy so I am not worried about it flexing or breaking.Steel was a thought when I first began the project but with the tools I used to make it..it was easier to work with aluminum.
