Choke light stays on!! WTF??

Choke light just won't turn off. It was running fine, then all of a sudden the choke light started buzzing. I stopped, shut it off, started it back up, the light came back on. And it won't turn off. it kinda flickers when the rpm's get higher. I disconnect the two choke wires on the edelbrock 600, and it turns off. Plug them back on, and the light is back on. Anyone know what this could be?

Choke light doubles as an alternator light. Alternator is going out. The buzzing is the choke relay flickering. Time for an Alternator!

Well, I threw in a couple kick pods last night, with 2 speakers. I've had a big system in my car for a long time, and never had a problem. I guess I could check some wires in there, and see if i might have bumped something. maybe it's a loose connection near the battery/alternator. Could that be the problem?

Best thing to do is get a wiring diagram and check the wiring, seeing as there have been modifications due to your stereo system. I would check for 13.6 Volts at the terminal on the back of the alternator with the engine running and make sure your battery is good and fully charged (12.6 Volts engine off). If the alt. volatge is good and the battery voltage is good then the problem is in the wiring.
