another carb pic posting thread

sorry for this but i am excited. last week i got my motor dropped in but still nowhere near finished. i ordered some headers so i can basically finish the main parts of the car. the engine bay is a shiney black but there is a lot of dust on it from working out in the farm fields of lovely midwest illinois. i couldnt put the carb on because the hood would not close so once i get a cowl scoop molded i will post more pics.

Couple of new pics of mine.

Just put a new pump and fuel line in last week. My A/C box crumbled in my hands when trying to take it out, the heat from the header got to it. Regular heater box should be in next week

Where's you get that heat shielding for your fuel lines? I need to get something on mine because the headers keep causing vapor lock.

Ordered it at Summit, part number TAY-2531. There's also a sleeve you can get that I'll probably end up getting and redoing what I have, just to make it a little neater. The sleeve is made by Thermo-Tec and can also be ordered from Summit.

i can tell you right now that the hood wont close with the carb on it. that is without the aircleaner too. with the team g intake and the 2" spacer there just isnt enough room.

What do beer and college have to do with each other?

College is for getting smart. Beer is for getting stupid.

Drinking alcohol is good and here is why:

if you drink alcohol it kills brain cells, but what everyone forgot to tell you is it kills off the weak ones leaving the stronger ones. Strong brain cells mean you will be able to retain/learn/build - become more intelligent! All this greatness can be had by drinking lots of alcohol...I prefer beer mostly bud light or something cheap. I also suggest binge drinking, because it's even better for yer ol'e noggin, especially right before a test!

Ok, i just pulled all of tha tout of my *** and it has no actual scientifical support.

Yeah!! It's true! I never could have made it through school without all the beer (and the occasional bottle of Maker's Mark). I'm king of the cheap beer, though. :hail: Natural Light.

that doesn't quite look like the 3rd gen f-body engine bay. although what you do have in your 3rd gen looks bad!

That picture is a scan of a old photo I took years ago at a autocross event in San Diego, Cal. The car belonged to a gentleman I competed against at that time.
The engine is in a 2nd gen camaro that is set up for SCCA ESP
class. It is a 370hp 11-1comp LT1 350 with 4 weber carbs. It halls
butt and was a serious contender at a national level in its class!
It is a bear to tune tho. You have to syncronize the four carbs to run together as one. The throttle blades(8 of them)
all open at the same time making tuning difficult.
