Carter Quadra-Jet 700
Im using a Carter Quadra-Jet 700cfm, dont know much bout carbs, just wondering if thats a decent street/strip one.

It could be a Qjet, Carter made some under licence from Rochester. A thermoquad would be easily identified by the large black phenolic body.

Carter made a lot of Qjets for Rochester over the years. I think (not sure) that they still are the ones who actually manufacture the Edlebrock brand Qjet replacements today.
If it's got big spring-loaded air doors over the secondary throttle bores it's a Qjet.
With proper tuning, yes, a Qjet is a very good carb for both street performance and street/strip applications.
