Rebuilt CC Calif. Rochester

I need a rebuilt 4-bbl Rochester E4ME. Is "Carbs Unlimited" the best place to go.
I think I'm runnning very rich on my original carb with 204,000 on it and I'm getting pretty bad gas mileage.

Thanks, Gary

Might not have anything to do with a carb needing rebuild. Ignition must be up to snuff before you start messing with the carb.

Then, there's sensor input. If they aren't proper, the ECM isn't going to control the carb proper.

Finally, if it really does need a rebuild, the choices in addition to CU are: Jet Performance, Holley, your local parts stores, a local shop, and do-it-yourself.

Perhaps you need simply to re-adjust your rich and lean stop screws.

Doubtful.

Correctly adj these requires a Dwell meter, which can also be used to troubleshoot the carb and computer.

If I had to guess, I would start with the O2 sensor.
Bad ignition or Exhaust leaks can also cause the carb to run rich.
