Secondaries opening late

I haven't confirmed it yet but I do believe my secodaries are opening pretty late.

If I am at WOT it will pull ok then around 4000 rpm it all the sudden pulls really hard. It feels like the vtech or something almost.

I recently had a leaking fuel bowl gasket. Fixed that and it didn't do anything.

I thought about putting a different spring in it to try to get the vac secondaries to open sooner...

If they are sticking what could be the cause?

You could try a spring swap. You want the lightest possible without bogging when you punch it (opening to early, before they are needed).

And, for future reference, its VTEC, not VTECH.

I should have known how to spell it. My mom has a 02 accord with a 3.0 SOHC vtec engine.

Anyways my carb came with 3 springs for the secondaries. I am gonna try putting the lighter spring in and see how it does.

How are you supposed to get the black cover off to access the spring.
